In John 17, Jesus casts a vision for his people as both sent into the world and set apart from it. Following Jesus is supposed to make us different from the surrounding world, but too often we aren’t. The most important thing we can do to pass the faith on to the next generation is just to really be the church.

Generosity Graciously Cultivated (Matthew 25:14-27) | Cabe Matthews

Tuesday Oct 14, 2025
The Scriptures teach that God is the ultimate owner of everything (Psalm 24:1), including everything we have and everything we are: our existence, our bodies, our time, and beyond. But as God graciously creates us, he also generously invites us to contribute to the beauty and goodness of his Creation (Genesis 2:15). The things that you have are not technically yours. How are you using what God gave you to make investments that might yield an eternal dividend (Matthew 25:14-27)?

Wednesday Oct 08, 2025
Wednesday Oct 08, 2025
This episode reflects on John 4:23 and 1 Corinthians 11, explaining how communion points to our purpose: deep relationship with God and one another. Paul’s rebuke of the Corinthian church highlights how self-centered worship and division distort the meaning of the Lord’s Supper.
The sermon calls listeners to examine divisions—by wealth, status, style, or preference—and to pursue authentic communion, welcoming all so the world recognizes Christians by their love.

Remembering For The Sake of Trust (1 Samuel 17) | Cabe Matthews
Tuesday Sep 30, 2025
Tuesday Sep 30, 2025
In 1 Samuel 17, David doesn’t beat Goliath because he’s strong or smart or creative or lucky. David defeats Goliath because he remembers the ways God has rescued him in the past, and he trusts God to see him through the present. When we remember the stories of God’s faithfulness in our lives, we too can find the courageous faith to face our own giants.
